Y.M.C.A.
Fully sixty members and friends were present at the strangers' tea in the r.M.C.A. rooms last evening, including Dr, Mrs and Miss Henry, Mr and Mrs Potts, Mr Stewart, and Mr W. H. iieetham.
Mr Falla, who presided, welcomed the Dr Henry mission party, and Dr Henry, m reply, said he believed in the Y.M.C.A. with all his heart, and had seen many Y.M.C.A.'s in America grow up from small Associations like Masterton to extensive and expensive buildings. He had lived to see the Pacific Coast of America studded with Y.M.C.A. Buildings. He had heard that there was talk of the Y.M.CA. work being discontinued in Masterton. He regretted to hear that, and he hoped 'he mission which was now being conducted would give the Association an impetus. He appealed to the members present to rally round and keep ibis good work going. Mr Stewart, of Melbourne, also spoke, and Mr Potts sang a solo, which was much appreciated. A vote of thanks was accorded to Dr Henry and to the ladies of St. Matthew's Church for providing the tea.
