BOWLING.
There was a large gathering of bowling enthusiasts on the Master- '" ton Bowling Green, yesterday after- j noon, when a match was played between teams picked by the President (Mr E. J. Rose) and the Vice President (Mr S. Inder). The ground was inclined to be heavy, but played true, and some interesting games were witnessed. The match resulted in a win for the Vice-President's team by 3 points. Following are the rinks with their respective scores:— President's Vice-President's. Chapman and Mr F. Staples, played recently, was a very close game, and ended in a victory for Mr Chapman by 1 point, the scores being 16—15.
