WAIRARAPA HUNT.
The bccontl "run" of the Wairarapa Hunt Club took place yesterday, at Opaui, in the presence of a large number of interested spectators. Mr R. Buick on Kiwi, and Mr B. Val lance on Country Girl, laid the drag, the "throw off" commencing on Mr P. Cotter's farm, and thence over Messrs C. Bannister't. and W. H. Buick'a r.roperties, "Bawfcehurst," and a check maic at Mr R. Quick's, where afternoon the was provided by Mrs R. Buick. who was suitably thanked by the huntsmen for her hospitality.
A seconu "run" commenced \ from Mr R. h'uick's, ovtr the Malabiwi Estate, through Mr Wood's property arsd back to Mr W. 11. Buick's larid, where the kill took place. The day was an ideal hunting one, and the hounds hunted well.
Following were among those who took part in the hunt: —Messrs W. H. Buick, Master, on Tobarmoray; Sam Bunny, Iluntsrnann, on Ned; C. J. Bennett on Gleam o' Dawn, W. Lett on Laddie, B. Westmoreland on Minota, las Smith on Garry, T. Catt on Te Utuatu, B. Reardon on Powelka, A. Wenand on Aohanga, W. Garrett on Daisy Bell. Mr W. EL Buick rode Dick Turpin and Mr Tas Smith rode Nedra on the return
journey. The will take place at Clareville on Thursday next.
