WELLINGTON, April 28. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast is as follows: — The weather has been unsettled and cloudy on the Ea o t Coast of tha Nor!h Island, and gloomy at times in many parts of the South Island, but generally fine. Moderate southerly winds have prevailed in the North, northerlies have increased in the South, and n gale (apparently local) is reported at Kaikoura. Present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere, with freshening northerly winds. The low pressure area piobahly threatens a change in the weather, especially in the South.
