A BUSY SEASON,
TWO TEAMS TO TOUR AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON. April 21. The Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union met tonight. The New South Wales Union wrote stating that the American University team would leave for Australia on May 20th, and will consist of 25 players I£ is proposed they shall play five matches in New Zealand, two in Wellington and one each in Auckland, Chriatchurch and Dunedin. The arrangement of dates was left to the incoming Management Committee.
The New South Wales Union aaked thai the New Zealand Maori team should leave for Australia on May 30th, the secretary of the team having stated, that the team could leave on that date and desired that course. It was agreed to send the team on the tour, which will extend over six weeks.
lt'was decided to play a match on June 3rd between the New Zealand r reperesentative team for Australia and a Wellington, team. The Wellington Union to get twothirds of the net gate proceeds as a rental of the ground. The selectors of the New Zealand team were appointed as follows: S. Wilson, Christchurch, H. Harris, Otago; V. R„ Meredith, Wellington; and D. Gallagher, , Auckland. The team is to be seiected not later than May 21st, and nominations are to be invited from the Unions forthwith. Mr C. Wray Palliser, the crepresentative of the New Zealand Union in London, cabled that an alteration in the laws of the game previously decided upon at the meeting ot the International Board had been *:onfirmed. It was decided to instruct Unions to adopt the new rules.
