WEDDING.

SMALL—McHALE.

A wedding was solemnised at St. Patrick's Church yesterday, when Mr Thomas Small, second son of Mr Joseph Small, of Newbury, Palmerstin North, was married to Miss Nellie Mc.Hale, fourth daughter of Mr Frank McHale, rf Blenheim, South Island. The b-ide, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr I. O'Connor, was charmingly attired in a semj-Empire frcck of white taffettas silk, trimmed with silk in sertion and silk: braid. She wore the usual \eil and orange blossoms, and carried a y shower bouquet. Miss Madge O'Leary, cousin of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, and wore an Empire frock of cream crepe de chene silk, trimmed with silk braid and silk insertion. She also wore a black picture bat, with black bows and gold buckles, and carried a white prayer book with streamers to match. Mr Joseph Small was best man. After the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. Father Saunderson, a reception was held at the residence of: Mr I. O'Connor' where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of. The usual toasts were duly honoured, ami hearty good wishes were expressed for the future prosperity of the bride and bridegroom.

The bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome gold watch. To the bridesmaid presented a gold bangle. Mr and Mrs Small left by the afternoon express for the South, where the honeymoon will be be spent. The bride's travelling dress was a fashionable grey tweed costume, and a black hat with a long ostrich feather.

A social evening was held at Mr O'Connor's residence last night, in honour of the occasion.
