"MARRIED TO THE WRONG MAN."
A dramatic success entirely new to New Zealand will be presented the George Marlow's Dramatic Company in Masterton on Wednesdaynext, April 27th, in the Town Hall. The production is entitled "Married to the Wrong Man," a drama by Frederick Melville, the author of quite a number of dramatic successes that the New Zealand and Australian stage haa witnessed in recent years. The Auckland "Herald," after referring to the fact that Mr Marlow is one of the most recent recruits to join the ranks of Australian theatrical managers, says:—"ln sending to Mew Zealand the company, which opened to a large house on Saturday (Easter) night he has equipped it with at least one piece tnat is certain to please the patrons he has set himself out to provide for. "Married to the Wrong Man? is by no means an ill-con-structed work, and though characterised by some of the palpable improb-/ abilites and exaggerations that one comes to look for in plays of the type, it contains many of the elements that go to raise it above, the cheap clap trap of the ordinary blood and thunder drama. There is, for instance, quite an appealing human note in the story, the interest is well sustained, the sensationalism fairly subdued, the comedy unforced and amusing, and the whole convincing.'" The full metropolitan company and scenery will be seen in this / town, the management sparing nothing to give patrons the best in the dramas. The box plan will be opened at Miss Rive's on Saturday morning next, where seats may be reserved, and whera also day sale tickets for he back stalls and pit may be obtained.
