MASTERTON BOWLING CLUB.

A SUCCESSFUL SEASON. A meeting of the Uflasterton Bowling Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms last evening, Mr E fr J'. Rose presiding. There was a fair attendance of members. The chairman said (he object of the meeting was to consider the advisability of holding a social as a fitting finale t.i a successful bowling season. The Sadie?, he added, always helped the club, and it was thought that the Club should do something to show their appreciatfon of the generosity of the fair sex. The meeting was unanimous in deciding to hold a social in the Exchange Hall on Thursday week. It was also resolved to play a match on the same afternoon between teams picked by the President and the Vice President. A strong committee wn=s formed consisting of Messrs E. J. Kose, J. Hunter, S. Inder, 0. Pragnr.il, J". C. Ewington, J. Cochrane, J. Blinkhorne, F. Fowler, T. Cresswell, W. H. Cole, A. W. Chapman, F. Staples, H. H. Reynolds, W. Wilkes, E. McEwen, H. Beale, A. Henderson, c. Perry, E. Pragnell, A. Haughey, and R. Rigg to make ail arrangements for the social.

Messrs E. J. Rose, J. Hunter, and J.jC. Ewihgton were appointed a subcommittee to arrange minor details. It was decided to hold the nsxt meeting on Thursday evening next.
