STOCK MARKET,
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their sale held at Eketahuna on Friday, April Bth, as follows— Entries, both in sheep and cattle, considerably exceeded advertised entries, and we have to report a total clearance of sheep under the hammer. Sheep showed an increase in prices and the demand was good throughout the sale. Cattle sold at prices quite up to last week's values. We quote—To and fourtooth wethers to 13s 8d; two-tooth ewes, 12s, 12s 2d to 12s 66d; four and six-tooth ewes, to 12s 6d; mixed aged ewes, 5s 4d, 6s, 7s 2d to 7s 7d; wether lambs, 5s 2d to 7s 6d; mixed lambs, 7s 6d, 73 lid to 9s Id. Cattle: Fat heifers, £4 19s; springing ewes, £5 to £5 12s 6d; two and-ahalf year steers, £4 6s; mixed weaners, 19s 6d to 30s; empty cows, £3 7s to £3 128 6d; two to two and a-half year heifers, £3 15s; bulls, £1 10s to £2.
