MASTERTON RACING CLUB.

The Masterton Racine Club held their monthly meeting on Saturday afternoon, there being present,— Messrs C. F. Vallance (in the chair), D. McLachlan, D. Caselberg, F. Dorset, A. Welch, J. Macara, J. lorns, J. Cress, and Donald. An apology for absence was received from Mr W. Piatt. The secretary of the Wellington Racing Club wrote convening a meeting of delegates from Racing Clubs in the Wellington district, to discuss the issue of complimentary and luncheon tickets at a meeting to be held on April Bth at 8.30 p.m. It was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the Club's delegates, Mesars Cooper and McLachlan. Mr Macara said he was of opinion that the club should take steps themselves in the matter, [jit should he said be in the direction of charging every person two shillings at the gate, any privilege to be granted after the person had entered the ground.
