ATTEMPT TO ESTABLISH AN ALIBI. Received April 1, 9.40 a.m. NEW YORK, March 31. Wolter's counsel is endeavouring to establish an alibi. He declares he was merely the tool of a gang of traffickers in young girls, and pro te.sts that statements were extorteo from him under the "third degree" examination. A shopkeeper testified that Wplter purchased a gallon of kerosene on the day of the murder, and afterwards bought a poc oi paint ana * bruoii so hide cert'ii traces.
