DR HENRY'S MISSION.

THE EXECUTIVE AND ITS ' PROPOSALS. At Knox Presbyterian Church last night, the Rev. C. E. Porter conducted a deeply inspiring meeting of church workers in preparation for the coming mission of the worldfamed evangelist, Dr J. G. A. Henry, whose visit to Masterton dates from Saturday, April 30th, to Thursday, May sth. Special meetings are to be held on the Saturday, the day of the party's arrival, whilst from Sunday to Thursday meetings will be held in the Town Hall. A | special meeting for men will be fixed i on the Sunday afternoon in the Town Hall. All ,the non-episcopal churches of the town are uniting to make this effort successful, and accompanying Dr Henry is a very fine soloist and leader. Mr C A. Potts, of Chicago. Mr Potts has a national reputation,as a leader of Gospel song, and comes in the place of Professor Bilhorn, who through serious illness, cannot make the tour. Mrs Potts will act as accompanist. The whole party number j six, each hav'ng their part in the I great work. Workers' bands and per- , sonal workers are being got together, and a special meeting is to be held conjointly with the weekly devotional j meeting at the Congregational j Church next Wednesday evening, at 7.30, to be presided over by the Rev. Bain Macdonald.
