MASTERTON HOMING PIGEON CLUB.

.An interesting race from Welling, ton, held under the auspices of the above Club took place yesterday. The birds experienced rough weather on their journey of 55 miles airline. Ihey were liberated by the station master at 12 o'clock, and arrived home at 2.12 o'clock, just within the time limit. There were forty-one birds representing thirteen lofts, and the folllowing is the result (Mr E. H. Richards was judge):—Mr J. Bradbury's "Silver King," time 2hrs llmin 47sec, I; Mr H. Wilton's "Kehua," time 2hrs llmin 49sec, 2; Mr J. Syverston's "Little Mary,'' time 2hr 12mln 42sec, 3; Messrs J. Dixon. E. Flanagan, W. Drake and F. Rosson were close up. only a few seconds separating their birds from the winners. The number of points obtained by members in old and young Dird races is as follows:—J. Bradbury 30 points, J. Dixon 20, H. Wilton 18, H. Lett 13, J. Syverston 10, W. Hoar 8, A. Miller 7, Flanagan, Drake and Billington 4 each, A. Ward 3, J. Winchester 1. i. The leading members for the young bird aggregate are:—H. Wilton 7 points, W. Hoar 5 points, J. Bradbury 4 points, A. Miller 3 points, Wfj Drake 3 points, J. Syverston 2 points, H. Lett 2 points, and E. Flanagan 1 point.
