KOPUARANGA NEWS

From Our Own Correspondent. Monday

The turnip blight has made its appearance here. A field of ten acres of turnips, which looked all that could be desired a week ago, are now corn pletely spoilt. This is most annoying as well as a loss, as the mild weather has brought an abundance of grass.

The New Zealand Dairy Union paid the sum of £176 8s 3d to suppliers for butter fat supplied during February; ,£32 lis 7d was the largest cheque paid to one supplier. The tests for the week ending the 18th inst. were very even, averaging 3.8. Sheep dipping operatons throughout the district are just about completed. Necessary arrangements are all well in hand for the local club's eports on Easter Monda>, and given a fine day a most enjoyable outing may be spent by town f>>lks attending the meeting.
