AMUSEMENTS.

THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.

A large audience greeted the permanent pictures at the Foresters' Hall, last evening, and the programme met with general approval by the gathering present. ''How a Sailor is Made in the French Navy" was a very instructive film, showing the routine from joining the school as a small lad, until the Sailor blossoms forth in his .full occupation. "The Surprises of a Flirtation" was a very humourous series, and consequently created much merriment. The management ever ready to cater for the requirements of the Masterton people are showing a special sacred programme on Good Friday evening. This will, no doubt, be welcome news to the many patrons of the Thompson-Payne Pictures, as it is the intention of the management to show a genuine sacred programme.
