SOUTH POLAR EXPLORATION.
SIR'JSRNEST SHACKLETON. PLANNING ANOTHER EXPEDITION. Received March 20, 5 p.m. LONDON, March 19. Sir Ernest Shackleton is planning a purely scientific and geographical expedition towards the end of 1911. He is not competing with Captain Scott.
Sir Ernest Shackkton's bases will be at 'Jape Adair and Adeliland. He will explore between Cape Adair and Jaussborg. In the staff are included some old companions. Mr Douglas Mawson, of Sydmy, will be scientific director. Financial support is already well promised.
