MASTERTON HOMING PIGEON CLUB.
An interesting raca was held on Saturday, 19th, from Petone under the auspices of the above Club. The birds were kindly liberated at 12.30 by the stationmaster, and thejr arrived home at 1.40 o'clock. The folowing is the result (thirty-seven birds representing twelve lofts):— Mr A. Miller's "Musketeer,"
velocity 1,144 yards per minute Mr W. Hoar's "Red Ribbon,"
velocity 1,137 yards per^.. minute ' £ Mr E. Flanagan's "Misty Morn," Jk
velocity 1,130 yards per minute
The next race is to be flown from Qrmondville on Good Friday, the \ 25th, and birds for that race will be hampered on the Wednesday evening, 23rd. The winner takes a trophy donated by Mr J. Dixon.
