THE SHIPPING TR&DE INJURED.
Tinted Press Association— By Electric Telegraph Copyright. SYDNEY, March 17. Though the strike is over, it is unlikely that full supplies of coal will be available for some weeks. During trie strike, the inter-State companies had over fifty steamers laid up. Thirty of these are still idla. Docking and getting them into running order again will mean a further large outlay. The total losses sustained by the inter-State and Union companies over the strike are estimated at £210,000.
