Omaranui Hack Hurdles, U mi'e —Polyanthus, 11.5, 1: Forest, 10.2, 2. Only starters Won comfortably by two lengths. Time, 3min 20sec. Esk Hack Har.dicap, 7 furlongs Amaru, 7.0, 1; Fort William, 7.8, 2; Bandelero, 7.5 3 Also started— Kildonan, Composed, All Trumps. Won by a head; half a length between second and third. Time, Imin 32 2 ssec. NAPIER CUP, H Mile. Parable, 9.7 1 Woodhey, 5.5 2 Bridge, 7.0 3 Also started—Sandstream 9.5, Cleiuora 7.5, Kopu 7.5, Lamsdorff 7.2. A great race. Parable led after a furlong had been covered, and after being hard ridden from the distance won by a neck; the same distance separating second and third, Sandstream close up fourth. Time, 2min 9 l-ssec.

Time, lmin 17sec. - Welter Handicap, 7 furlongs— Wimmera, 9.8 V 1; Ballyheigh, 8.2, 2; Golden Water, . 9.3, 3. Alsu started-Glissade, Dreadleas, Berengaria, Moutoa Girl, Niwaru, Millenial. Won easily by a length with half a length between second and third. Time, lmin 29sec. Sapling Stakes Handicap, 5 furlongs.—Birkdate, 7.13, 1; Sea Eagle, 9.7, 2; War" Song, 9.5, 3. Also started—Vide, Gloss, Waikehua. Ngakau. Won by half a length with War Song the same distance away, third. Time, "lmin 2 3-ssec. Redclyffe Welter Handicap, 1 mile— Obscurity, 8.-9, 1; Kings Prize, 9.7, 2; "Amato, 9,3, 3. Also started—Separator, Polynices, Idealism, Dan Leno,-Karakatura, Blackwater, Stevens, Moana.
