By Telergaph —Press Assocaition. PALWERSTON N , March 16. The Manawatu Tennis Tournament was commenced to-day. Fisher Prouse and Stow, the three most prominent players engaged, are in the semi final. In the Men's Championship Singles Prcu«d beat Fisher, 9—4, the result beii.tr a surprise. Fisher is still in the Men's Handicap Singles. In the Men's Champion Doubles in the first round Fisher and Prouse beat Johnston and Pharazyn 9 ft. Stow and Collins beat Wither and Waldegrave 9 -2.
