Captain Scott, R.N., who is to lead the next British Antarctic Expedition, and who is at present in Norway purchasing sledges, snowshoes, and other things necessary for the venture, has made tests of a motor-sledge The test was successful, the sledge pulling a load of nineteen hundredweight on the snow.
