HEAVY WEATHER.
A NARROW ESCAPE. Received March 12, 7.20 p.m. SYDNEY, March 12. A tugboat towing the dredge Ulysses up to the Richmond River lost her tow. The whereabouts of the dredge is unknown. She has eight men on board, and no propelling power. A heavy sea is running, and the Government are arranging for a I search steamer. A south-easterly I gale is blowing, with drenching rain. LATER. _The Ulysses has drifted ashore fie miles south of Evans River. Th crew are safe, but the punt, with two men aboard, is still missing, 'he barque Hazel Craig left Newcastle on Wednesday for Wellington, but put into Sydney leaking. She ran into heavy weather two hundrej miles off the coast, and the strninini started a leak and it was decide . to make for Sydnev
