AMUSEMENTS.
FORESTERS' HALL. Messrs Thompson and Payne are • now well into the sixth month of con- j tinuous running with the picture enterprise at the Foresters" Hall. This I entertainment has proved a boon to I JlMasterton, as evinced by the large that nightly attends. Of the merits of this performance no more need be said than that it is quite equal to the highest standard of pictorial entertainments produced in the Dominion. The enterprise proved so successful that Mr Payne cabled to England for a special dynamo tu be made for Masterton. This machine, which will be tha most powerful dynamo used in picture entertainments in New Zealand, is from the well-known workshops of Messrs -Johnson and Phillips, Old Charlton, Kent, England. The machine is being installed, and the management hope to use it for the first time at Thursday's change of programme. .Several improvements to the hall i are under consideration, and Mr K Payne will shortly be in Masterton to personally supervise them.
