Tchaii kowski, fo revolutionary propaganda in many parts of Russia, resulted in a verdict of "Not proven," and accused was acquitted. The defence showed that the records produced by Government witnesses were the work of police minio'cs. Madame Breschowikaia, aged 78, who was tried at the same time as M. Tschaikowski, admitted revolutionary sentiments, and was exiled to Siberia.
