GEODETIC SURVEY.

THE EARIH'S CRUST. Received March 8, 9 a.m. NEW YORK, March 7. The United States Geodetic Survey announces that the equatorial radius of the earth is metres. This is exact to within six feet, the exactness of the survey being due to continuous trianeulation on the basis of 41 States. The survey adds: "The earth's crust extends 75 miles, when liquid pressure begins."
