A STREET AFFRAY.
FIGHTING WITH LARRIKINS. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright. Received March 6, 5 p.m. MELBOURNE, March 5. Owing to the ill-usage of some Carlton girls by North Melbourne roughs, about 300 < Carlton men and girls engaged in an all round fight last night with a large body of North Melbourne larrikins. The fight lasted about two hours. Sticks and stones were used and a large number of persons were injured. The police arrested several ringleaders. About 600 people took part m the affray.
