In connection with the avalanche that swept the slope of the Cascade Mountain, Everett, in Washington State, and buried to express trains under the snow, it transpires that the trains were snowbound for seven days. The avalanche hurled them a distance of 200 feet, and buried them at the bottom of a canyon. Sixty*persons are reported to have perished. A MILE LONG. NEW YORK, March 3. The avalanche, which was a mile long, devastated a portion of the town of Wellington, Washington State. The, telegraphjlines'were destroyed for fifteen miles round.
