OBITUARY.

MRS H. COLE, SENR. The death occurred at a late hour last evening of Mrs H. Cole, at her residence in Cole street. The deceased lady had been in a critical state of health for some considerable time past, and she passed away quietly at the advanced age of 77 years. The late Mrs Cole was one of Wairarapa's earliest settlers, and had resided in Masterton for about 44 years. She was born in Rosshire, Scotland, and came out to New Zealand in the ship "Berar." Mrs Cole, who was a widow, leaves three sons to mourn their loss, Messrs William, Henry and John Cole, one daughter, Miss E. CoJe, and a sister, Mrs Tinsley, of this town. The funeral will leave the residence, Cole street, for ■He Masterton Cemetery at 2 o'clcck on Monday atternoon next.
