THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
The supply of subjects for the cinematograph are unlimited, and the large audience that attended at the Foresters Hall last night were favoured with another fine series of new "and interesting pictures. Among the scenic shown the new railroad up Mount Blanc. "The Scales of Justice" is a first-class dramatic piece, and shows what little items may bring about a miscarriage of justice Several fine trick or illusion films are produced, among which are "The Farmers' Nap," and "The Brahmin's Miracle," which belong t:> the natural colour series. "The Extra Turn" is a novelty in the comic picture line, and caused great laughter. The star picture of the evening is entitled "Noel." This takes the form of a drama, and is extremely pathetic. Another picture that deserves special mention is "A Child Labour Story." "The National School of Cavalry, Belgium," gives some exceptionally clever feats in horsemanship, bordering, in fact, somewhat on the impossible. "The Life of Schubert," "Smart Burglar," and several fine comieT made up a good programme.
