OBITUARY.
MRS A. J. PARTON. The sad news reached Masterton yesterday that Mrs Parton, wife of Mr A. J. Parton, of the firm of Beale, Parton and Co., of this town, had passed away at her parents' residence in Wellington, at an early hour in the morning. The deceased lady, who was about 28 years of age, was the eldest daughter of Mr an d Mrs James Forbes, of Wellington. For some months past, the late Mrs Parton had been ailing, and death was due to heart failure, supervening upon other complications. Mrs Parton held the position ot first officer of the Nursing Guild of the Masterton Division of St. John Ambulance Brigade. Deep sympathy will be felt for Mr Farton in his sad bereavement. The funeral will take place in Wellington to-morrow, leaving Mr Forbes' residence at 1 p.m.
