EARTHQUAKE.
DOME OF A MOSQUE COLLAPSES. LONDON. February 18. An earthquake shock, lasting fourteen seconds, was felt in Crete. The dome of the Canea mosque collapsed, and many of the buildings were damaged. Shocks were also experienced at Malta, Catania (Sicily), and Foggia (eighty miles north-east of Naples).
