OBITUARY.

MK THOMAS BROWN".. Our Pahiatua correspondent writesr that news was received in that town yesterday afternoon, of the death of Mr Thomas Brown, owner of "Clifv ton'.' and "Waihi," Wangaebu, Masterton. Mr Brown, who had beert in indifferent health for some time past, left Pahiatua yesterday morning for "Clifton," some two miles, away. Later in the day Dr Dawsontwas summoned, but medical attendance was unavailing, Mr Brown passing away in the afternoon, heart failure being the cause of death. The deceased was very well known and popular throughout the Wairarapa and Pahiatua district. He was. 43 years of age, and leaves a widow and two children, a boy and a girl, to mourn his loss. He was a son of the late Mr D. Brown, of Uunedin. Some years ago he was the host of the Commercial Hotel/ Pahiatua.
