IMPORTANT LAND SALE.
RANGITUMAU ESTATE. An important land sale has been effected througn the agency of Mr W. H. Cruischank in the disposal of the well-known Rangitumau estate. This block has recently been sub-divided by the present owner, Mr A. J. Stone-Wigg, into eight. allotments, ranging from 58 acres to 626 acres still remains unsold, but several buyers are negotiating for it, and Mr Cruickshank expects to make a clearance of the whole block of nearly 3,000 acres this week. The following are the purchasers:—Section No. 2, 412 acres, Mr W. McLaren; section No. 3, 550 acres 0 roods 25 perches, Messrs Mawley Bros.; section No. 4, 282 acres, Mr D. J. Cameron; section No. 5, 626 acres 3 roods, Mr W. McLaren; section No. 6, 58 acres 0 roods 15 perches, Mr E. L. Foster; section No. 7, 128 acres 2 roods, Mr W. H. Donovan; section 8, 190 acres 0 roods 20 perches, Mr J. F. Heckler.
It is interesting to note that Mr E. L. Foster, the purchaser of No 6 block, is a recent arrival from the Argentine, and intends to take up fanning in this district.
