METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, February 3. Rev. D. C. Bates this evening issues the following weather summary and forecast:-—A westerly area of low pressure is now passing south of New Napier with strong northerly winds and fair weather generally, though cloudy and showery conditions already prevail in the extreme South. Present indications'are for a falling barometer everywhere with increasing northerly and westerly winds. The weather will probably continue fair for a short time in the north though there are signs of a change coming SOO n. (.loudly, squally and showery weather is probable south of New Plymouth and Napier.
