MASTERTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL.

The monthly meeting of the Masterton Technical School was held last evening. There were presentMessrs B. Feist, Chairman, W. H. Jackson, C. E. Daniell and E. H. Waddington. The Treasury wrote forwarding capitation for the technical and continuation classes, totalling £ll7 14s 6d, and subsidy on the voluntary contributions to the funds of the Associated Technical classes at Masterton, amounting in £167 6s 3d. A letter was received from Mr S. Wood, instructor for the wool classes, thanking the Managers for their testimonial and bonus of £5. The Inspector-General of Schools wrote stating chat John A. Driffill had passed the stage I. in the drawing examination for building construction, and drawing, andi'that Leonard B. Bradstock bad passed stage 111. in the examination in human physiology. Mr S. Noble-Campbell notified the Managers that he had instructed Messrs McLeod and Young to forwaid a number of "Pitman's Weekly Journal, " and trusted they woald be of use to students.

Tbe offer was accepted with thanks. The treasurer's statement to February 3rd was received as follows: Receipts: To sale of wool and skins, £24 3s 6d; fees on account of third term,l9o9, £2l 15s; rent for rooms" Matric. examination, £4; grant from Masterton County Council, £25; capitation on account of second term, 1909, £55 17s 9d; subsidy on voluntary contributions to September, 1909, £92 13s 4d; capitation on account of third term, 1909,£6 l 16s 9d; donation in aid of wojlclasses from H. Morrison, £5; grant from department on account of apparatus, £3 4s 8d: capitation on account, senior free pupils, 1909, £6 4s; capitation on account junior free pupils, 1909, £9O 19s 3d; subsidy on voluntary contributions to December, 1909, £74 12s lid; total. £465 7s 2d. Expenditure: By salaries third term, 1.909, £167 10s; sundry accounts, £4 2s 3d; gas account, £1 19s 46, Trust Lands rent, £2 19s 4d; imprest account, 1909, cleaning, etc., £26 9s 10d: refund to' Messrs Holmes Bro., wool supplied, £9 16s; refund to Mr A. MacKay, £3 Is 3d; overdraft at date of last meeting. £2 12s; balance at date, February 3rd, 1910, £22 16s 6d; total, £465 7s 2d.
