LONDON MARKETS,

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following c ible messages from their London house under date on the 27th instant:— Wool: Sales continue firm and active with risky competition. Greasy merino wools, medium sorts, are five per cent, higher. American buyers are not buying much. Tallow: Mutton is a shade easier, but other descriptions are unchanged. Frozen Meat--Mutton: Stocks of Canterbury are exhausted. North Islan i firm but prices unchanged. Australian mutton is Jd Imver. Lamb: Old season's socks are nearly exhausted. For new season's prime crossbred North Island and Australian larrb there is a firm demand at unchanged prices. Beef: There is a better demand owing to the cold weather, and change in prices is in favour of sellers.
