The train service is interrupted and tram traffic suspended. The roads in Wales are impassable. A blizzard is reported from Cumberland and snow in Lincolnshire.followed by rain. A heavy downpour has ocdUrfed in London. A great tempest is raging in the Eog'lsh Channel. During the storm the destroyer Eden broke from her moorings and stranded at Dover, heavy seas breaking over her. Forty of the crew were landed by the Breeches buoy.
