THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.

It is astonishing how popular pictures of the "Mexican Bill'' type are with most people. At the Foresters' Hall last night, as soon as thetitle of the picture appeared on the. screen, round after round of apthrough the house As the picture was for the first time here on Thursday it is very evident that many who saw "Mexican Bill" on Thursday turned up to see it again last night. This spenks volumes for the merits of the picture, and, without doubt, it is one of the most sensational films we have seen here since the great "Kelly Gang" picture. "The Bull Fight a't Camorgue" again astonished and amused the audiencee. "The Legend of Orpheus" met with unstinted demonstrations of appreciation, and it is ore of the prettiest Pathe colour films we have had. "The Electric Fan" simply convulsed last night's audience, as did the "Adventures of John Willie." Seats should be secured early for tonight's show, as "Mexican Bill" is sure to draw a very crowded house. There will be another full change of programme on Monday. The management have now fixed their changes for Mondays and Tnursdays, on which days a full and complete change will be made. We believe this will meet the local requirements admirably, and we believe it is customary to change on the half holiday night.
