LONDON WOOL SALES.
GOOD BUSINESS DONE.
Received January 21, 12.25 p.m. LONDON, January 20. At the wool sales a good business was done at full opening rates. Yorkshire and Continental spinners were the chief operators, Opou wool clip reached 12Jd, the average being lid.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, | Ltd., have received the following cable from London: —"The sales have opened with a large attendance of buyers, and competition is keen, Americans buying freely. Prospects are good, and markets firm for all sorts. Prices for fine crossbred merino are unchanged, medium crossbred 71 per cent, up, coarse 10 per cent. up.
