LORD KITCHENER.

TOUR THROUGH NEW ZEALAND.

By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON; January 20. Arrangements hav now been completed for the reception of Lord Kitchener in New Zealand, and for his tour through the Dominion. His Lordship will arrive at the Bluff on Thursday, February 17th, and be received by the Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward), and the members of the Defence Council, who will accompany him throughout his tour. After arrival he will proceed to Dunedin by train, and on Friday the 18th, will inspect the harbour defences, Garrison Artillery. and [the senior and junior cadets. The defence forces of the district will be brought into camp near Dunedin, and on Saturday they will b? put through fi«3d exercises under the eye of the visitor, returning to their homes on the Sunday. On Monday the FieldMarsbal will pruceed by train to Christchurch, and on Tuesday, he' will, as at Dunedin, inspect the harbour defences and Garrison Artillery and the cadets. The defence forces will be mobilised and put through field exercises on Wednesday, and the same night Lord Kitchener will leave for We Hington. ieaching here on the Thursday morning. He will he accorded a civic reception by the Mayor, and entertained at a banquet by tha Ministry and on the following day will inspect the harbour defences, Garrison Artillery and cadets. The defence forces will be mobilised that day, and will engage in field exercises on the following day (Saturday). On Monday the FieldMarshal will leave by train for Auckland, where a similar programme will be gone through. On Tuesday inspection of defences, artillery and cadets,and mobilisation of forces; on Wednesday inspection of field exercise. • ' ,- Lord Kitchener will leave Auckland for Fiji on Thursday, 3rd March.
