ELECTRIC LIGHTING FOR THE HOSPITAL.

Mr J. C. Ewington, a Trustee of the Masterton Hospital, is of opinion that it would be as cheap or cheaper to light the Hospital by electricity as by gas. The electric energy could be generated by a gas engine. As he is one of a committee set up to report on the lighting of the Hospital, there will probably be a recommendation in the above direction at the next meeting of the TruHtees.
