CARTERTON NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Friday. The annual meeting of the South Wairarapa Poultry Association was held this afternoon, Mr C. Reid, President, teing in the chair. The raport and balance sheet, showing a credit of £6 2s 6d, was adopted. Tbe election of officers resulted as follows-.-Patron, Mr H. R. Bunny; President, Mr D. Reid; Vice-Presi-dents, Messrs J. M. Nicholls, Q Donald, J. M. Lightfoot, R. J. Chapman, H. Deller, W, C. Buchanan, M.P., H. McPhee, J. McCausland; treasurer, Mr E. Eagle junr. ; • secrelary, Mr W. Tucker; auditor, Mr R. J. Chapman; comMessrs C. Reid, J. Standen. H._ McPhee, W. B. Allen, A. J. Fisher, H. S. Moss, H. Deller, H. J. E. Meyrick, C. R. P. Armstrong, E. Goodin, J. A. Daysh, and T. W. Barnes. A henrty vote of thanks was accorded to the Wairarapa P. and A. Society for the use of their hall. It was decided to write to' Mr W. C. Daviea in regard to having a class inserted in the programme for a collection of products from the school plots. The Wairarapa P. and A. Society is to be written to in reference to holding a winter show. Vote of thanks were accorded to the officers for their past services, and a bonus was voted to the secretary.
