SEDITION IN INDIA.
REVELATIONS AT RECENT TRIALS. OPERATIONS OF PRESS ACT,
Received January 14, 10.30 p.m. LONDON, January 14. Keuter's correspondent at Calcutta reports that it has been snown by further revelations in regard to sedition disclosed at the recent trials that the new Press Act is a decided improvement, and will strengthen the Act of 1907 in the preventing of the holding of seditious meetings. The operations of the Act are now to be extended to Madras, Bombay, Bengal, Punjab, and the Central and United Provinces.
