OUTBREAK AT MONTREALg APATHY OF AUTHORITIES. United Press Association—By Electee Telegraph Copyright Received January 10, 11.15 a.m. [ , OTTAWA, January 9. Owing to the apathy of the Municipality of Montreal in regard to the typhoid epidemic, the citizens have organised an emergency hospital. Lord Strathcona, Canadian High Commissioner in London, has given £5,000 towards the hospital, and has promised £2,000 to a sanitation fund.
