MONSTER PUBLIC PARK.
FINEST IN THE WORLD. Received January 9, 5 p.m. NEW YOKK. January 8. Mrs Harriman, widow of the railway magnate, has given 10,000 acres for a public park in New York, with £200.000 sterling for the upkeep. Other millionaires in the State of New York have raised a further £BOO,OOO to make the park the rinedt in the world, and extend it fifty miles along the banks of the Hudson River.
