LABOUR TROUBLES.
NEWCASTLE COAL STRIKE. INCREASING NUMBER OF UNBMPLOYED. SYDNEY, January 8. It is expected that the Southern miners will next week take a ballot as to whether they shall be represented on the Wages Board. As steamers continue to be laid up, the number of idle seamen is steadily increasing. There are now over two thousand out of a berth.
