ALLUVIAL GOLD.
DISCOVERED IN NEW GUINEA,
miners warned.
Received January 6, 10.25 a.m. BRISBANE, January 6. It is reported from New Guinea that payable alluvial goldfields have been discovered at the Williams River, 120 miles eastward of Port Moresby. Miners are warned against rushing the field pending further information.
