SALE OF DRAPERY AND CLOTHING.

Past experience has proved that when Messrs Cole and Westerman hold a sale of drapery and clothing unusually large parcels of superior goods are obtainable for little money. In order to allow the whole of their huge stock to be marked down for the sale which opens to-morrow the premises will be closed to-day. The manager of the firm states that during the next week or two price reductions ranging from 10 to 60 per cent, will be allowed, and that carriage will be paid on all country orders to the value of 20s and over. In an inset circulated with this issue prices are set out which give an excellent idea of the sweeping price reductions that have been made. There is not an inferior article in the whole stocb, and the , goods to be offered were imported for this season's trade. Considerable alterations have been made to the interior of the store, and a men's clothing and mercery department is now provided, Jtfy an effective arrangement of shelves, the |,oods are displayed to the best advantage, with the result that men visiting the store during the sale period will be able to select their requirements speedily, and' have special attendants. The sale opens at 8 o'clock to-morrow morning.
