CARRIAGES TAKE FIRE.

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph * Copyright. Received January 4, 8.30 a.m. NEW YORK, January 4. The California special train was derailed at Rock Island, in Illinois. A line of carriages took fire, five passengers being killed, and nine injured, several of ihem fatally.
