Received January 4, 9.55 p.m. MELBOURNE, January 4. v Victoria, in the second innings, have lost 7 wickets for 429 (Delves 28, Ransford 45, Smith 146, Scott 24. Armstrong 119, Kennedy 27).
South Australia's first innings closed for 360 (Clem Hill made 185, and Crawford 75). The Victorians in their first innings made 206.
SOUTH AFRICA v. ENGLAND.
Received January 4, 8.30 a.m. CAPETOWN, January 3. In the first test match between England and South Africa at Johannesburg, the English team made 310 in the first innings, thus securing a lead of 102. Received January 4, 9.55 p.m. LONDON, January 4. South Africa in their second innings have lost three wickets for 124.
